How to Assemble a Foosball Table
Putting together a table from scratch can be a challenging task if you have never done it before. There are many parts to a foosball table that need to be gathered and typically those parts need to be assembled in just the right order or you will find yourself backing up your steps in order to complete the job. This can be frustrating if you have already spent a significant amount of time putting it together. But, like all things in life just apply a little patience and know the job will get done. When it comes to attempting this job, you really have two options outlined below. The first option is the easiest because Amazon now offers an assembly package when you buy a table off their site or you can read further and build it yourself.

Purchase an Assembly Package from Amazon
If you just want to have your table put together by a professional instead of attempting it yourself, you can now do that with an assembly package offered by Amazon. They do state that setup time can vary by model, but their standard timing is 2 hours. This can be a nice peace of mind if you aren't sure what you are doing. However, if you want to attempt it yourself, we suggest reading the remaining part of this article. Amazon Assembly Includes:

Locate the Manufacturer's Manual
Your foosball table should have came with an instruction manual but we receive a lot of people asking for specific instruction manuals, especially once they have taken apart a table and are trying to put it back together for the second time. Since there are so many different table models on the market and all of them vary, this article should serve as a guide when putting your table together to avoid common mistakes in table setups and shouldn't be a master reference for all table set-ups. If you don't have your instruction manual with you we suggest trying to Google it and you might just find a copy online and then continue reading below.

Assembling the Legs to the Foosball Table Cabinet
Connecting the legs on your table is typically one of the first steps in assembling the table. Flip the cabinet upside down and place the 4 legs in all 4 corners of the table. Each leg usually will have 4 bolts that go through the table and then through the legs with a nut at the other end to secure them in place. When your legs are attached, you can flip the table on the legs and work to put the rods through the cabinet. Working at waist height for the next step will make it easier than sitting on the floor.
Assembling the Men to the Rods
There are a total of 8 rods, 4 on each side, in most models on the market today. Before you get started realize that most American foosball tables have a total of 4 rods with 3 men on them. While you may not think these 3 man rods are any different, there is actually slightly different spacing between the men depending on if the rod is a defensive goalie rod or an offensive rod. You can typically distinguish between the goalie and the forward rod by looking at the total length of the rod. Goalie 3 man rods are smaller than their offensive counterpart. Offensive rods are designed to be a little longer and the men are spaced further apart to allow for more movement when taking shots.
Start by sliding the rod through one end of the table. Next, slide your black bumper followed by however many foosball men go on each rod. Finally, slide the last bumper on the rod and slide the rod through the other end of the table. Lay down a piece of cloth or a towel down directly on the table under the rod to catch the little shards of the rod that will fall off as you are securing the men to the rod. Then place the bracer block that came with your table between the rod and the table to help prevent your rods from warping. Align the holes in the men with the holes in the rod and grab a pin that will slide down the holes to secure them to the rod. You will need a foosball pin punch tool that you can place inside the pin so you have something to hammer. Hammer the pin punch tool until the pin is completely hidden. Repeat this process for all rods and men on your table and you will be ready to play in no time.
