Foosball Tic-Tac Shot
A tic-tac in foosball is a common term used for passing the ball back and forth between men on the same rod. This, combined with a shot on goal, is what is referred to as a foosball tic-tac shot. Tic-tac shots got their name from the clinking sound it makes when passing the ball between the men. The tic-tac is used primarily as a way to fake out the defense by making it look like you are passing the ball back and forth and then surprising them with a quick shot. The tic-tac shot is not a particularly effective shot unless you are playing an amateur foosball defense that is having a hard time following the ball around. You can tell if you can easily exploit these types of defenses if they are slow in following the tic-tac pass and leave holes open. It is all a matter of selecting the right timing for when to take your tic-tac shot

Setting Up the Foosball Tic-Tac Shot
In order to disguise the tic-tac shot, you must first become proficient at passing the foosball back and forth between the foosball men on the same rod. This is important because you will need to be able to pass the ball a number of times without losing ball control before actually taking a tic-tac shot. Using a tic-tac is all about waiting for the right time when the opponent's defense isn't following you closely and there is an open hole to exploit.
