ESPN stands for Entertainment and Sports Programming Network and has been a longstanding television channel. ESPN is the authority and worldwide leader for sporting news, and can be found in over 200 countries and millions of homes. ESPN publishes news in a variety of media’s including, television, radio, digital publications and magazines. Since the brand name is so deeply affiliated with sports, MD Sports and Sportcraft decided to license their brand name and put it on their foosball tables and other gaming equipment. While Sportcraft no longer makes foosball products, however, MD Sports has been around a long time and owns a collection of brands with the ESPN being the most well recognized with their national media popularity.

MD Sports decided to form a strategic partnership with the ESPN team back in 2012. This was based on the popularity of the brand and the licensing would allow for the name recognition needed to help sell their products. This was actually a model that was proven to be successful because the Sportcraft company previously had a licensing agreement with ESPN and sold numerous products under this branding. We have also reviewed the Sportcraft ESPN foosball table if you are interested in learning more about it, but please note that Sportcraft no longer manufacturers tables so you would need to find this used.
The ESPN line created by MD Sports has a distinctive design that is authentic and true to the ESPN brand, as well as the sports it represents. They currently manufacture 3 foosball tables under this branding and other products, including: poker tables, ping pong, badminton, basketball pop-shot, bags, air hockey and kickboxing equipment.
