Learn How to Play Foosball
At its core, foosball seems like a pretty straightforward and easy concept. There is a table with a total of 8 foosball rods that you push, pull, and turn to make the foosball men kick the ball into the opponent’s goal. In reality, that is just a grain of sand out of an entire beach of facts about the game. And, just like on a beach, you can decide how you want to spend your time exploring it. We attempt to empower you with all the resources and information to help you learn how to play the game of foosball much quicker than if you were to do it on your own. |
Much like soccer, the object of foosball is to score the ball in the opponent's goal. The game can be played with 2 players or up to teams of 2 on each side of the table. Tournament and bar foosball is played with a total of 9 balls and the first team to 5 goals wins the game. If you are a beginner foosball player and are still learning how to play the game, we suggest you play the first team to 10 goals because there will be numerous loose ball goals and "spray" goals that are accidental. If this were to happen 2-3 times per game, you can see why a quick game to 5 would make it difficult to have a competitive game.
How to Master the Game of Foosball
Think of foosball as a sport, not just a table game. It isn’t like you can simply purchase a foosball table, learn the rules, and then learn how to master the game. There is much more that goes into it and takes years to develop all of the right mental and physical skills to become a professional player. I still remember after playing the game for 4 years and going to my first tournament when my mouth dropped because of the skill level of some of the players. It is an extremely difficult sport to master without having all of the necessary tools around you.
