Foosball Table Reviews & Ratings

How We Review a Foosball Table
Being able to properly review and rate a foosball table takes more than just a keen eye for detail. You must understand how to play the game on both the offensive and defensive sides of the table, have knowledge about the quality of foosball parts the manufacturer uses, and factor in price to value in every aspect of the table. It also doesn't hurt to know how to play at a tournament level so you can evaluate a table's ability to handle complex shots. Here at Foosball Soccer, we have factored in all of these variables in order to provide you with the best table reviews for many different manufacturers and their products. We are dedicated to providing you with education to make you more informed when shopping for a table. Our hope is that this will avoid our readers from having to upgrade parts or an entire table later on. The best tip we always try to provide to anyone new to the game is you should spend more money on a table up front so you aren’t disappointed with what you get. You will end up suffering with a table that has low performance and there is a major difference between the capabilities from one table to another
Always Review a Foosball Table Before Your Purchase
Keep in mind that we are reviewing foosball tables to provide you with detailed information of the ins and outs of the table. There are some things you simply can't see or feel about a table in a picture or even on a department store floor. Foosball tables that receive a 5 foosball rating are those that we recommend purchasing for your own home use. These are tables that have proven to be made of high quality parts and will last for years to come. These tables will allow you to become the best player you can be and allow you to compete at a tournament level.

Don't just take our word for it! Even if you do your research, you want to educate yourself on how to review a table yourself. This will definitely help if you plan on purchasing a used table because you can tell if foosball parts have been replaced or damaged by the owner. Watch for warning signs of lower quality tables listed below in these buying tips. Ask yourself the following review questions when looking at a table.
  • Is the foosball ball just rolling around randomly on the top of the table? This is a sign of a cheap foosball table. If you have properly leveled the table, you should be able to stop the ball and it should stay put. This is especially important if you are buying a foosball table from someone off craigslist. Just simply ask the owner to level the table before you buy it or you could end up with a table that is impossible to play on.
  • Are your foosball rods hollowed out in the center? Higher quality rods are hollow to reduce the weight and increase the speed of the lateral movement on the rods.
  • Is the ball return at the ends of the table or on the side? This isn't a deal breaker feature in our opinion, but higher quality tables have a side ball return to allow you to quickly grab a ball when you are practicing your shots by yourself. This will avoid you having to reach around the ends of the table to set yourself up for the next practice shot.
  • Does the table have adjustable legs? This is more than just a convenience feature on tables. Adjustable leg levelers that you can spin to quickly adjust the height are important to providing a consistent smooth-rolling table soccer game.
  • Are your men counterbalanced? Your men should be able to hold steady when put in a horizontal position. Non-counterbalanced men will just fall back down to a vertical position and this is extremely frustrating when you are playing 1-1 games that require you to constantly put your foosball men back up in order to not block your own shots from the defense.
  • Are your handles octagon shape and made of wood or a tacky plastic? Wood or tacky plastic are the best handle materials because they provides the best grip, doesn't get slippery when you have sweaty hands and can be found on quality tables. The octagon shape allows for placement of your fingers on the rod that have a flat surface to grip on to, as opposed to some handles that are rounded that will cause your hand to easily slip.
