Olhausen Foosball Tables
The Olhausen company was founded by Butch and Don Olhausen in 1972. They started out by simply recovering pool tables, a trade their father had taught both of them as young boys. One of their pool table customers was a manufacturer and offered to sell them the business for $1,000 with a payback on the inventory once it was sold off. The Olhausen brothers realized what a great opportunity this was and solidified the deal in 1973 to expand their company into manufacturing.
The company they bought was only selling about 35 pool tables annually. Within the next two years, they were selling over 300. Today, Olhausen Billiard Manufacturing, Inc. has expanded their product line to sell other home game room products such as air hockey, foosball, shuffleboard and other furniture. They now sell over 30,000 tables a year and has a large facility in Portland, Tennessee.
