Tornado Table Foosballs
Tornado foosball balls are made of a urethane compound that is extremely durable. They weigh .9 oz and measure at 35mm in diameter. Unlike the classic foosballs with the slick surface, they are made to be fast and allow you to grip and easily pin them down. They are made using a patented process only used by Tornado. The foosballs are then precision machined to their final dimensions of 1.365". During the machining process, the ball is ground to within .001" of perfect roundness on all sides, rounder than any other ball on the market. A rounder ball leads to a better roll and gives more control. This process is patented by Tornado and only these foosballs are made using this process.
The Three Types of Tornado Foosballs
Dynamo Yellow Ball
Since Tornado is owned by Valley-Dynamo company, the Dynamo yellow foosballs are physically identical to the new Red Tornado ball. These are not played at tournaments, but offer you a little different color for your home if you are sick of the traditional red color. |
Traditional Pink Tornado Ball
This is the traditional standard ball. The Tornado Pink foosball was the tournament ball of choice for decades. Now, the red balls are the designated tournament balls. The only difference is extra dye for visibility in the red balls. |
New Red Tornado Ball
The new red color is the official ball for the T3000 Tornado Tournament table and ITSF pro competitions. It is known as a five hour ball because it was "tumbled" for five hours to generate it's smooth, textured, grippy surface. |
