Professional Competition Foosball Tables
Are you curious what tables are used by the professionals? If you are new to the game you may be surprised to find out there are governing bodies that define the regulations that must be used in order to be played at pro tournaments. These organizations are the International Table Soccer Federation (ITSF) and the United States Table Soccer Organization (USTSO). Both of these have approved specific manufacturers and models that can be played on during these competition foosball tournaments in order to rank the best players in the world. There are two different organizations because of the unique styles of play that have evolved over the years depending on what country you are from. This creates consistency from event to event as well as offer the best game quality which allows for the most complex offense and defensive play.
There are two categories of approval that come from the ITSF organization, Official and Recognized.
ITSF Official Tables are competition and training models that conform to international tournament standards. Sanctioning of Official Tables is submitted to the ITSF Executive Committee's vote every 2 years. There can be no more than 5 Official Tables. All ITSF sanctioned tournaments can be organized on these tables, including:

Tornado
American Professional Foosball Table
The Tornado Tournament 3000 is the gold standard that you will find at any pro circuit in the United States. It is sanctioned as the defacto model officially approved by the ITSF. You will even find an official International Table Soccer Federation (ITSF) logo at the end of this model. It offers consistency, quality and craftsmanship that cannot be matched. |
Bonzini
French Professional Foosball Table
As far as the French-style of professional foosball tables go, the Bonzini B60 is the table you will find at tournaments around the world after it was ITSF approved in 2007. Although most European-style is played with more of a finesse game with cork balls, the ITSF foosballs for this table are actually made with a yellow composite material. This speeds up the game for the pro players and offers a unique playing style where pinning and maneuvering your shots is key to success. |
Garlando
Italian Professional Foosball Table
Garlando has been around since 1954 making foosball, pool, table tennis and air hockey. They were approved in 2007 by the ITSF for their World Champion model that has the highest quality and known for its Italian-style play similar to Roberto Sport. Their organization is known for innovation in the space, producing many new patents along the way. |
Roberto Sport
Italian Professional Foosball Table
The Roberto Sport brand has been around since 1947 and has been a long time staple in Italy making foosball, billiards, hockey and and ping-pong tables. They are one of only eight brands to have an ITSF certification which came in 2008. This was a long time coming as they have been have high quality components and standards for their products. Their Top Revolution model is their pro table you will find on the circuit. |
Leonhart
German Professional Foosball Table
Leonhart is a German-style brand that is known for exceptional quality through owners that are promoters and actual players. Their tournament model table and ball is made in Bavaria, Germany and is ITSF approved to be played at pro events since 2007. |
Recognized Tables are tables sanctioned by ITSF for the practice of table soccer leading to major world competitions. The Executive Committee can vote new Recognized Tables during the year. Only the lowest three types of ITSF events can be organized on these models, including:

Rosengart
Czechnia (Czech Republic) Professional Foosball Table
Rosengart has been around since the year 2000 and also make darts and karaoke machines. They became an ITSF certified partner in 2015, making them a premier addition to the pro circuit. ITSF has recently tried to analyze more local markets and brands to add as partners to help grow the popularity of the sport and Rosengart makes a great addition. |
Ullrich Sport
German Professional Foosball Table
Founded in 2004, Ullrich Sport has committed themselves to creating quality products "Made in Germany" and they haven't strayed from this goal since. In fact, they are rare in that they have solely focused on foosball tables and haven't tried to build other gaming tables to make additional revenue. Their Beast model was ITSF approved in 2007. |
JX Sports
Chinese Professional Foosball Table
Jiuxing Sports (JX Sports) was founded in 1994 and builds foosball, air hockey, pool, and ping pong tables. They are the most recent addition to the ITSF approved competition tables, being added as a new partner in 2022 and the only approved Chinese manufacturer. This corresponds with the with their initiative to add new partners across a variety of local markets. Their Ninestar model was selected with this prestigious honor and can now be seen at competitions. |

Most standard, full size foosball tables are about 2 1/2 feet wide by nearly 5 feet in length. A regulation-sized table is 29-30 inches wide, 54-56 inches in length, and 34-36 inches tall. While there are more Recognized Tables that are regulation size, there are only five table manufacturers that are Official ITSF approved to meet the rigorous specifications it takes to be used at all world pro events: Tornado, Bonzini, Garlando, Roberto Sport, and Leonhart.
